Continued success in the Nantwich retail market includes the letting of Unit 3 Cocoa Yard to Lollipops Childrens Shoes who will be opening for business shortly.

Lamonts have also let 25 Hospital Street to a gift/interior furnishing retailer.

Following the successful sale by Lamonts of 62 Hospital Street to Tresidders who have now taken up occupation, their previous unit on Pillory Street has been let to Renew Clinic.

Planning permission has been obtained for conversion of the old doctors surgery at Brookland House, Wistaston to a veterinary practice and legal documentation is due to be completed shortly.

In one of the largest lettings in South Cheshire this year Cheshire East Council has taken the 21,700 sq.ft. office scheme at Crewe Business Park where Lamonts acted as joint agents with Matthews and Goodman for their clients Pochins Plc.

Lamonts have achieved a further letting at Crewe Hall Farm, this time to Red Eye International Limited who will be taking up occupation of the ground floor of Oak House later this year which extends to approximately 4,085 sq.ft.

The success of the Alvaston Business Park office scheme on the edge of Nantwich continues with a further sale of one of the two remaining units. Only one unit now remains available to let or for sale as a whole together with two additional smaller suites available on flexible licence agreements in Estates House.

Lamonts have also achieved a letting of the first floor of Unit 1 Alvaston Business Park for the current owner.

Lamonts acting jointly with Mason Owen in respect of the marketing of Portal Business Park have achieved a recent letting to Club Clean Limited who have taken occupation of the ground floor of Unit 3.

Practical completion of the bespoke pre-let to AMS has now taken place and the fit-out by the tenant is well underway.

We are still experiencing a real lack of industrial enquiries and they are still far from the heady levels that we were used to in 2006/2007. However, there continues to be a steady stream at the lower to mid range and we are also experiencing more activity at the higher end.

What is now needed is some real confidence putting back in the market place to increase activity and speed the general property transaction process up which has become exasperatingly protracted.

General activity at Midpoint 18 remains good. Midpoint 18 Industrial Estate in Middlewich is one area where enquiry levels and interest remains good.

We have Unit Two at Valley Court under offer and are due to exchange any day which will complete the last disposal of the ten speculative units constructed at Valley Court.

We also have Unit Two at Aston Way at Midpoint under offer which is due to exchange anytime.

There are a number of other vacant units on site, but interest levels do remain good and we are confident that these units will soon be occupied.

The full redevelopment of the 13 acre former Tesco/Wincanton site fronting Road One, Winsford Industrial Estate is now being completed. The completed scheme leaves us with a fully refurbished 100,000 sq. ft. industrial/warehouse unit which is available on extremely flexible terms along with a high specification high bay new build distribution unit of 175,000 ^{sq. ft.}

Lynton Developments and LaSalle Investment Managers have recently launched the building into the market place and hoping that momentum now gathers and leads to a successful letting of the scheme.

The office rental market remains strong in the locality. Lamonts have recently completed a letting of 5,000 sq.ft. at Westmere Court to Power 2Contact and a further 8,000 sq.ft. has gone under offer on the Business Park in January 2009.

Cobolt have also recently taken up occupation of the unit they purchased on Arden Square on Crewe Business Park where now only one unit remains available to let or to purchase on Phase 1 of this development.

The Zenteum Group are shortly to take up occupation of The Dove Cote at Crewe Hall Farm, a joint development by the Duchy of Lancaster and Maple Grove Developments on this prestigious conversion of redundant farm buildings. Five other buildings remain available to let.
